Why I recommend Dermablend

The Dermablend range has the bonus of added SPF to help protect the skin from damaging ultraviolet radiation.

Vichy’s Dermablend range was developed by a dermatologist in the US over thirty years ago, and was launched in the UK in 2000. It is a firm favourite both with skin specialists such as myself, a dermatologist, and professional make-up artists.

The Dermablend range is water-proof and smudge resistant and will last for up to 14 hours on the skin.  The products are suitable for oily or blemish-prone skin and will not clog your pores.  They have also been allergy tested and are tolerated well by sensitive skin types.

Dermablend is an effective way to conceal scars, tattoos, acne, and redness caused either by surgical procedures or skin conditions such as rosacea.  I also highly recommend it for people looking to find a product that will smooth out imperfections or conceal skin pigmentation. Dermablend leaves the skin looking luminous without a mask-like effect.  A small amount of product goes a long way.

The Dermablend range has the bonus of added SPF to help protect the skin from damaging ultraviolet radiation.  Excessive ultraviolet rays will speed up the ageing process in your skin and it is a good idea to use products containing SPF to limit this damage.

There are a range of products to choose from depending on your personal preference.  Options include a Fluid or Cream Foundation or a Corrective Stick.

There is a formulation specifically available to cover up or provide camouflage to the body and not only the face.  This is ideal for patches of vitiligo, spider or thread veins, scars, or stretch marks.  The products are held in place with a Setting Powder.

I have seen first-hand the Dermablend range allow people to feel confident in their own skin.  Areas of skin that created embarrassment or social anxiety can be covered up with good results using the available range of products and I have no hesitation in recommending it to my patients or clients.
