The key to a natural looking, flawless glow

Serums add an intense shot of hydration to your skin to keep it smooth and feeling plump.

Healthy, well looked after skin has a natural radiance. Prepping your skin properly helps you create a smooth, hydrated base and get the best from your make-up.

Here’s what to do before applying your make-up…

If you don’t use a cleanser, dirt, cosmetics and oil can build up in your pores, causing spots and blemishes. Wet your face using warm, not hot, water. Pour a small amount of cleanser onto your fingertips and gently massage across your face in circular motions. Pay particular attention to oily areas, avoiding your eyes and mouth.

If you have sensitive skin, try using a soft cotton pad to apply the cleanser instead of your hands.
After a minute or so, wash the cleanser away and gently pat your face dry with a soft, clean towel.

Toner can remove any remaining traces of dirt or makeup and help minimise the appearance of your pores. That makes for a flawless finish once your make-up is applied.

Put a few drops of facial toner onto a cotton wool ball or pad, and press softly onto your face. Never rub toner, as that can irritate your skin. Leave it to absorb for a few minutes.

Use a serum

Serums add an intense shot of hydration to your skin to keep it smooth and feeling plump.

Apply a few drops of serum to your fingertips and softly smooth it across your face. Start with your driest area, typically forehead or chin. Keep applying until you’ve covered every part of your face and neck. Don’t forget your hairline.
Leave the serum to sink in.

Hydrated skin is the best possible base for foundation, BB cream or concealer. Keeping well moisturised can also help your make-up stay perfect for longer.

Apply your moisturiser in circular motions without rubbing vigorously. Start with a small amount, and keep building it up across your face, neck and any area that feels dry.

Leave it to sink in for 5 or 10 minutes, after which your face should feel soft but not oily to touch. If you’re left with any dryness, reapply until it feels hydrated.
Finish with your make-up to create a long-lasting, flawless look.
