Pascale Mora the Vichy Scientific Advisor gives her tips and tricks on achieving a natural-looking, flawless complexion
Skin Luminosity Depends On Both Surface Layers Of The Skin And Deep Down
When light rays reach the skin, they are reflected and diffused by it. We then see skin colour when the light that is re-emitted or diffused from it hits our eye. It's therefore important to keep the epidermis or outer layer of the skin well moisturised, this will enable it to transmit light to the lower layers of the skin, so skin will look more rosy and radiant.
- Improve the appearance of skin quality
- Reduce the appearance of pores and dullness
Skin Preparation Is More Important Than The Foundation Itself
If the skin prep isn't right, the desired result won't be right! So always make sure that your skin is totally clean before beginning to apply your make-up. Cleanse the neck first and then the face as this will avoid bringing any impurities from the neck on to a clean face. Then use the appropriate moisturiser for your skin type.
Skin Cleansing & Make-up Removal
Skin cleansing and make-up removal is the only way to remove not only make-up but also impurities produced by the skin (sweat, dead cells, excess sebum), often a source of discomfort, as well as impurities from the external environment. This can make skin feel sensitive, look dull and unbalanced. That's why we need to cleanse every night.
